Tapping the Saved View button in the toolbar brings up the Saved View panel. This panel is divided into two sections, Built-in Views and Custom Views. Switch between these two sections using the segmented control at the top.
Saved Views are named configurations of the app’s settings. By tapping on a Saved View, those settings will be loaded into the app, overwriting the existing settings.
Saved Views also have descriptive text about the view. This text may be shown by tapping the small info button to the right of the item. For Custom Views, you can edit the text by tapping in the text area. For predefined views, the text is non-editable.
The descriptive text for the Built-in Views is well worth reading as it will explain many concepts about the Galaxy.
Our Galaxy comes with a number of Built-in Views illustrating various features of the Galaxy. They are arranged in folders containing Saved Views for a particular class of object or concept.
Custom Views are ones you create yourself or import from elsewhere.
To create a Saved View, tap or click the “Save Current View” button at the bottom of the Saved Views panel. If you are not already on the Custom View section, the app will switch to it and create a new Saved View item. Enter the name of the Saved View and tap Done (Return) on the keyboard.
Custom Views are always displayed alphabetically in the list. To switch to a View, just tap or click it. To view or edit the descriptive text, tap or click the small info button to the right.
If you need to rename or delete a Saved View, tap or click the Edit button at the bottom.
